Our Staff
BEN JOLLIFFE - Pastor
Ben and his wife Jen were both born and raised in Ontario. They are a little bit small town, a little bit big city, having lived in both for various periods of their lives. Ben and Jen both worked for Power to Change (née Campus Crusade for Christ) for a number of years before transitioning to the church world. Ben went to seminary at Reformed Theological Seminary while working for Grace Toronto. While not being a pastor, Ben likes to pretend that he owns and runs a coffee shop/bookstore/t-shirt making shop/design studio.
They have four kids, Sara, Luke, Ian and Jake, who are busy, fun and love reading, cats and winter.
Jim Poopalapillai - PASTORAL RESIDENT
Even though Jim was born and raised in Mississauga, he has a love for the city of Ottawa and moved here in April 2023 to begin as a Pastoral Resident at Resurrection. Jim is a graduate of Heritage Theological Seminary and has previously been an Intern at Hope Oakville, and served on staff at Hope Ottawa. Before going to seminary, Jim went to Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson University) where he studied Graphic Communications Management.
In his free time, and as a self-proclaimed extrovert, Jim enjoys spending time with family, catching up with friends, touring around Ottawa, reading, working on his photography, playing pool, and eating any and all good food!
