Nahum 1

A God of Mercy and Justice

The opening passage of Nahum reveals a God who is both merciful and just. He is a jealous protector of His people, slow to anger and abounding in power. This passage reminds us that God's justice is unstoppable, confronting the proud and the wicked, while His mercy offers refuge and strength to those who trust in Him. Nahum assures Judah that God sees their oppression and will act to deliver them, pointing to a future where evil is defeated and His people find peace.
